Low testosterone can cause a bunch of unpleasant effects such as reduced sex drive, erectile dysfunction; fatigue or hot flashes; muscle weakness or loss of muscle; depression, irritability, mood swings, pot belly, or weight gain. Testosterone replacement therapy (aka TRT), in the form of injections or pellets, can significantly improve the signs and symptoms of low testosterone in men. Male patients given TRT may experience notable reductions in blood sugar levels, total cholesterol, triglycerides, blood pressure, liver enzymes, weight, and waist circumference.
After dealing with a debilitating illness for 10 years, I had begun recovery but still felt “off“. Long recovery times, low energy, and ongoing depression were all affecting me. After getting my blood tested and the doctor looking carefully at the results, my T levels were normal but my SHBG levels were through the roof, meaning that I had almost no free T active in my system to do what it needed to do! The folks at Innovative Men's Health got me on a regimen and adjusted it as needed over the first couple of months. I’ve been on a regular program for a year now and it’s helped out a lot.

We would like our patients to consider twice-a-week dosing of testosterone Injections. It is better from a physiologic standpoint and often allows for a lower total dose of testosterone when compared to once-weekly injections. It also can reduce the frequency of blood donations by avoiding the peaks and valleys that come with once-weekly dosing. Once-a-week dosing is OK. We just believe the split dose is better with a more steady blood level. Most of our patients do this. There are times when it would be more convenient to take the whole dose at one time, such as going out of town and you don’t want to travel with medications. This is fine. Just do the same process twice on the same day. Alternatively, you can take the second dose on the day of travel. It will carry you to the following week. If you plan to be gone longer than 7-8 days, you can take an extra dose to carry you through a longer period. For example, if your normal routine is Wednesday/Saturday but you leave on Friday: take the regular dose on Wednesday, then repeat on Thursday and Friday.
There is an added benefit of twice-a-week dosing. With the smaller injection amounts, you can inject into the belly fat, or just about anywhere, as you do for HCG. In this case, we offer a smaller, shorter needle with 1 ml insulin syringes.

It could be said that testosterone is what makes men, men. It gives them their characteristic deep voices, large muscles, and facial and body hair. It plays a role in sperm production, fuels libido, and contributes to normal erections. It also fosters the production of red blood cells, boosts mood, and aids cognition.
