Those men interested in reclaiming their quality of life and restoring the energy they felt when they were younger can rest easy, however. Testosterone therapy has proven to be a safe and effective way for many men to reclaim everything they lost due to low T. At Innovative Men’s Clinic, the doctors focus on working with patient to find a safe and effective treatment regimen. Up to date on all of the latest research and studies, potential patients can trust they are in safe hands.
Too often, conversations between potential clients and doctors get muddled — or never happen at all — due to the existence of myths about therapy. Here are three of the most common testosterone therapy myths:
Mood Swings. Testosterone therapy is not equivalent to taking steroids. While a small number of men do report increased irritability, the general response is a positive one. By addressing low T, patients often experience an improved sense of self, greater energy, and far less symptoms of depression. Testosterone therapy is a boon for mental health and mood, and certainly not a detriment.
Heart Problems. As treatment for low testosterone began to really take off, a few studies emerged purporting that it could induce heart problems. A recent, 25,000 man study from the NIH has all but fully debunked that assertion. Not only did the study find that lot T treatment didn’t increase the risk of heart problems, but it might even have decreased instances of heart attacks.
Additional Risk Of Prostate Cancer. Even those who remain skeptical of testosterone therapy have concluded that it does not increase the risk of prostate cancer. This myth came about as a result of the fact that those who do have prostate cancer are often required to take testosterone reducing drugs.
All over the country, testosterone therapy is being increasingly recognized as a safe and proven way to treat low T. No longer a “shameful” or private issue, it is acknowledged as a medical issue and treated as such. The key is being open and honest with your doctor, explaining your current condition and asking about any potential risks and side effects. At Innovative Men’s Clinic, you can trust that the doctors will work closely with you to find a program suited to your needs.

It plays a role in sperm production, fuels libido, and contributes to normal erections. It also fosters the production of red blood cells, boosts mood, and aids cognition.
